The Iranian Journal of Virology (Iran J Virol) is an international peer review semi-annual biomedical publication, the aim of which is to provide a scientific medium of communication for researchers throughout the globe.
This Journal is a peer reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of virology and welcomes basic research as well as pre-clinical and clinical studies of novel diagnostic tools, vaccines and anti-viral therapies.
Also, the Journal welcomes original clinical articles as well as basic science research experiences mainly on prevalent diseases in the region and the analysis of various regional problems. Manuscripts are publishable in the form oforiginal article, review article, case report, letter to the editor and short communication.
Iranian Journal of Virology will feature articles on human, animal, plant, insect, bacterial, and fungal viruses. The journal will also publish articles on molecular aspects of the control and prevention of viral infections with vaccines and antiviral agents and on the use of viruses as gene therapy vectors, as well as research on other agents such as prions. The approaches and techniques used are expected to encompass many disciplines, including molecular genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, cell biology, immunology, morphology, genetics and pathogenesis.
All research articles must include appropriate Ethical Approval, Competing Interests and Author Contributions.
